Director of Safety & Recruiting for a flatbed carrier of general construction commodities for local, regional and western US deliveries. Successfully took a non-rated carrier through two DOT inspections and one Colorado State Police audit without fines or penalties. Implemented many management level changes and maintained a satisfactory safety rating.
 
2005 – 2006 E.W. Wylie Corporation
Terminal Manager for national, regional and local flatbed transport company.
Recruited company and owner-operator drivers and managed all terminal operations including inter-departmental functions – safety, maintenance, training, and orientation.

Wholesale Sales to customer accounts for recycled automotive products.


2002 – 2004 Copart, Inc.
Driver/Yard Manager for insurance automotive recycling distributor. Managed a team of six for inbound unloading, receiving, detailing, storage, inventory control, sale preparation, auctioning, and outbound loading of insurance vehicle recycling. Additionally managed and maintained a 20-acre, 30-year old facility.


2001 – 2002 Colton Carriers, Inc.
Risk Manager responsible for all company safety and DOT compliance issues. Implemented safety and company-wide policies. Oversaw staff for all training, orientation, and maintenance reviews.  Maintained contact with carrier insurance companies involving drivers, equipment, and Workers’ Compensation for necessary requirements of insurance and state and federal regulations.


1998 – 2001 United Driver Services, Inc.
Director of Training responsible for all company safety, training and regulatory state compliance of third party CDL testing.  Supervised all forklift, hazmat, defensive driver, third Party CDL testing and training.  Provided orientation program for a major oilfield company. Managed a nationwide staff of up to 24 trainers. Editor for monthly newsletter covering 300 International Dealer locations in North America

Also load planned and loaded C-130, C-19, C-141 and C-5a aircraft for shipments world wide, including Operation Desert Shield/Storm.
